In this sequel of the famed action picture by director Renny Harlin:

  • the scene of John McClane (Bruce Willis) trapped in the cockpit of the plane holding South American dictator and drug lord General Esperanza (Franco Nero), with terrorists firing their guns at him; when grenades were thrown into the cockpit through smashed windows, McClane ejected himself and parachuted to safety, just minutes before the grenades exploded and destroyed the plane
  • the scene of McClane's discovery, accidentally, that enemy mercenaries' guns were firing blank ammunition - he later proved his findings to inept airport security chief Capt. Carmine Lorenzo (Dennis Franz) by firing a machine gun - with blanks - at him
Igniting Fuel Trail to 747 With Expletive
  • the reprise of John McClane's famous line: "Yippie-kai-yay, motherf--ker!" in the film's conclusion, when he ignited - with his cigarette lighter - the fuel trail of a 747 airplane filled with mercenaries and terrorists during take-off and the plane exploded in a ball of fire, providing light for other planes circling above to land
